Congratulations Asa! Glad you are on the other side of this, obvious from the beginning, outrageously unlawful event. May your case set a positive precedent for all the other unlawfully accused journalists in similar circumstances.

I doubt this will stop Starmer and the police. In the USA, Trump and the police act unlawfully and are told so by the courts on a weekly basis. The goal is to intimidate citizens and those journalists who are not propagandists for the government. They don’t care if the courts overturn them, the damage is done e, the fear instilled.

While I am beyond glad at the news, I cannot cheer, as this whole ordeal elicits nothing but rage and disgust from me over the deliberate, wanton trampling over your life for what, seven months now? A few comments:

1) I hope I am not naively reassured that none of your devices were searched nor access to your contacts accessed. As Mossad/Unit 8200 were behind all this, I worry though.

2) What is the likelihood of significant financial compensation not only for loss of income and resulting incurred costs, but also for punitive awards plus pain and suffering?

3) What is the likelihood of legal and/or severe disciplinary action being taken for all law enforcement and justice department personnel who admit to and knowingly allowed for deliberately unlawful acts to take place?

4) Will there be an independent overseer of the Metropolitan Police review of how they use terrorism legislation, especially against journalists, as well as their scrutiny of the external organizations they consult for advice, particularly those who appear to promote political agendas under the guise of “counter-extremism”? Will these organizations be listed in the public record?

5) While there was no need to dust for fingerprints of Israel's involvement/responsibility in this, is there any chance of mucking up the works on them by having responsible(?) people in authority (not bought off by Israel) turn the counter-terrorism apparatus against them for a change?

I hope you can put the pieces back together smoothly and swiftly.

I would also be very concerned about the potential for spyware having been installed as per your first point.

For certain, good point, having all devices swept and decontaminated is an imperative, with the bill included in the suit for punitive award and treble damages.

Yes, for certain, with a good amount of fear, anxiety, disruption, and intimidation thrown in at no charge, the Zionists always aim for maximal effect, they want to get the most for their shekels.

Stop insuring genocide!

CODEPINK, in partnership with Palestine Youth Movement’s campaign #MaskOffMaersk, is applying pressure on Maersk, the multinational shipping company sending military cargo to Israel. In unmasking Maersk, we’ve learned that Zurich Insurance insures Maersk’s weapons shipments to Israel for its genocide in Gaza.

On May 15, Nakba Day, they attempted to speak with Zurich Insurance in Chicago — they responded by kicking us out of the building.

We call on the newly elected, US, Pope Leo XIV to do whatever it takes to save Gaza and stop the bombing, and end the starvation. Let him go to Gaza and stand with the suffering people who are being massacred by Israel and the Western posers. Is there anything more important in today's world than this?
